Despite the organizers’ attempts to keep the winners a secret, the numbers of the soccer players who won the Balón de Oro 2023 in the Liga MX ceremony held on Saturday night were finally leaked on Sunday night.
The most successful team was America, with four Balón de Oro awards, including the best player of the year. In the women’s category, Charlyn Corral was recognized as the best player.
Tigres, the champions of Clausura 2023, had only one winner, Nahuel Guzman, who was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the year. The Argentinean continues to achieve great success with the Tigers.
The Expansion League also had its recognition, as Ricardo Marin from Celaya won the award for the best player in the silver tournament, which still does not grant promotion to the top teams.
