Vincent in Silver at the Tours International Veterans Open!

This Saturday, April 20, 2024 took place on the 21stth Open Master International Adidas Veterans of Tours (37)🥋. The club 💛💙 had three judokas registered for this “Excellence” label tournament allowing them to earn points on the National Ranking List in order to qualify for the French championship which will take place in June 2024 in Paris.

Two of our asemists had made the trip with Laurent PERNIN as a coach.

🥈 Vincent MASSACRIER en -60Kg (M3) 💪

🍫 Damien CHARRONDIÈRE in – 60Kg (M3) 👍 returning to competition following a serious rib injury at the end of November 2023.

Not having enough fighters in this M3 category of less than 60 kg, the organizers have regroup THE M3 (40-44 years old) with M2 (35-39 ans).

Our two asemists 💛💙 carried out a great competition. During their last combat, Vincent and Damien both made mistakes on their Ten cuts (guard: places hands on the judogi) facing younger judokas. Vincent loses his final and Damien his place on the podium. It is Shame because their adversaries were within their reach!

Mr. LUCAS in -81 kg (M1) was unable to defend his chances, following an injury to the cruciate ligaments of his right knee. The whole section wishes Toanui a speedy recovery 🙏

Congratulations to both of you for these great results. 👏
