Mobility Plan Activated in Collaboration with Barcelona City Council
FC Barcelona is gearing up to face Cádiz CF in a thrilling match for the second day of the league championship. The match will take place this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, marking the team’s debut as hosts in this competition. It presents a unique chance for members, fans, and supporters to unite and rally behind Xavi Hernández’s team in their temporary new home until November 2024.
The Club has implemented mobility recommendations to ensure easy access and smooth exit for attendees heading to the Montjuïc area and the sports venue. Following the success of the first match at the Estadi Olímpic during the Joan Gamper Tournament against Tottenham, the previously developed Mobility Plan in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council will be activated again for match days in Montjuïc.
Guidelines for Fans
One of the primary recommendations is to arrive early, as the Estadi Olímpic doors open to the public an hour and a half before the game. Access by private vehicles to the mountain will be restricted, and circulation will not be allowed in the vicinity of the stadium. Only vehicles with accreditation will be permitted in the surroundings of the Olympic Ring.
The Urban Guard will be responsible for removing vehicles parked in unauthorized areas. Regarding motorcycles, up to 3,500 will be allowed to access and park in areas near the stadium.
To reduce the use of private vehicles, attendees are encouraged to reach the stadium on foot, by public transport, or by bicycle. It is also important for the public to download their tickets in advance and enter through the designated doors. Please note that there will be no left luggage service available.
Entertainment Activities Surrounding the Match
The Club has organized various recreational activities to ensure a festive atmosphere throughout the day. A lively speaker will engage the crowd before the start and during the halftime of the match.
Additionally, a DJ will perform live music from the balcony between Gol Sur and La Tribuna, while a percussion group will entertain the stands with vibrant batucada rhythms before the game.
At one of the stadium entrances, a stand will be set up for fans to paint their faces with Barcelona motifs, adding a colorful and passionate touch to the event.
