Dennis Rodman’s Unmatched Praise for Michael Jordan and… Shade for LeBron James
Reality has a way of being stranger than fiction, and that’s exactly what Dennis Rodman proves. The basketball legend, known for his 14 seasons in the NBA and five championship rings, recently weighed in on the eternal debate: Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James.
Michael Jordan: “Too Sexy” On The Court
In an interview with the streamer NEON, Rodman compared the playing styles of Jordan and James, favoring the former with an unexpected reason. According to Rodman, “Michael Jordan was too sexy, uncle, when he had the ball or something.”
LeBron James: “Like a Damn Garbage Truck”
However, it was when the topic turned to LeBron James that Rodman truly let his individualistic perspective shine. Describing James’ playing style, Rodman declares, “I mean, LeBron is like a damn garbage truck.” While it may not be the most flattering analogy, Rodman’s comparison is clearly born out of respect, explaining that “He just keeps on coming at you and comes over and over again.”

Jordan on GOAT Debate: “Unfair” to Compare
Despite Rodman’s preferencing, Michael Jordan himself has often downplayed the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) debate. Back in 2017, Jordan told Marvin R. Shanken, “I think it’s more for the press and to sell stories. I never played against Wilt Chamberlain or Jerry West. Saying now that one is better than others is unfair. I won six championships, Bill Russell won 11. Does that make me better than him or him better than me? No. We play in different times.”
The GOAT debate may rage on, but one thing is clear: Dennis Rodman has a singular perspective on the sport and its stars that keeps us tuning in.
