BANNER ELK, NC – Lees-McRae women’s basketball is set to host the initial two rounds of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court, beginning Sunday, March 1.
Bobcats Earn Championship Berth
The Bobcats concluded regular-season play with a record of 19-7 overall and 15-5 in Conference Carolinas games. Lees-McRae secured the fifth seed in the KPI rankings and will face the winner of the matchup between No. 8 UNC Pembroke and No. 11 Ferrum on Monday, March 2, at 5 p.m.
Tournament Progression
The victor of Monday’s contest will advance to the final site and compete in the quarterfinals, scheduled for Friday, March 6, at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The semifinals and championship final will follow on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, respectively, also at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.
