Katrin Neudolt
Has there ever been a podcast interview in sign language? Katrin Neudolt talks about her impressive career inside and outside of deaf sports and about the importance of non-verbal communication. According to Daniel Graßmück, badminton is one of the most inclusive sports of all because there are practically no barriers to entry.

However, there are still barriers in everyday life for deaf people and Katrin would like to help break them down with her commitment. You can hear the voice of sign language interpreter Karin Moser in the podcast, who translated the interview for us.

Patrick D’Haese, MBA, PhD – Corporate Director of Awareness and Public Affairs MED-EL

For people with hearing impairments, the podcast is also available as a transcript to download!
For the sake of completeness, the following should be mentioned here: Katrin Neudolt is not a Para-athlete or Paralympian. Deaf athletes are organized nationally and internationally in their own associations, which is why Katrin takes part in the Olympic Games for the deaf – the so-called Deaflympics – and not in the Paralympic Games. But we found Katrin’s story and what she had to say far too impressive and worth telling to let this bureaucratic distinction stop us from inviting us.
