Cultural Basketball Team’s Quest for LEB Silver Ticket Begins: A Promising Season Ahead

La Cultural will begin the definitive assault on professional basketball on Thursday. Solvent leader of group AB of the EBA League, the Leonese team has three games ahead to put the icing on the cake of an outstanding season that could become a milestone if it achieves the long-awaited ticket to the third category of Spanish men’s basketball, the LEB. Silver.

Even finishing second in the group could have another chance in the ‘play-off’ match. Although the Leonese do not want to play that alternative trick but rather to quickly open the doors to a higher category.

After almost a month without competing, the Cultural’s final time arrives this Thursday. It will be at 11:00 a.m. when he tries to score his first victory on the Gandía Sports Center track. Archena, which has just overcome the previous crossing between second places, will be its rival. The Murcians are a team that stands out for something, it is for their attacking game, similar to Cultural, although apparently this season the Leonese have better arguments. Starting with the Argentine Fede Copes.

The second day will measure Cultural against Canarian Aridane. A fight that Luis Castillo’s men hope to reach with a victory in their locker so as not to have the threat if they fall defeated of having to say goodbye to their options. The meeting is set for 1:15 p.m.

And to close the phase on Saturday against Mollet, perhaps on paper the most complicated opponent, although all those who have qualified for this play off are qualified to compete for the best.

For Cultural each match is a final. Anything goes and that’s how the Leonese have prepared. Being first in their subgroup will give them direct promotion to the LEB-Plata, or what is the same, to professional basketball from which the city of León is orphaned after the disappearance of Baloncesto León.

In the other subgroup based in Gandía, Jaén Paraíso Interior, Mataró, Gandía and CB Tormes will also compete for promotion.

At the Lliria headquarters, El Olivar, Coto Córdoba, Movistar Estudiantes and Fundación Bilbao Basket will form one of the subgroups. Camper Eurogaza, Uros de Rivas, Nadunet Lliria and Sol Gironés Bisbal are included in the other subgroup.
