José Vicente de los Mozospresident of the executive committee of IFEMA MADRIDspoke during the presentation of the race that will be held in the capital of Spain and assured that the final proposal was going to make said event differential compared to the rest of the grand prix on the Formula 1 calendar.
As it could not be otherwise, De los Mozos praised what the IFEMA venue itself can offer F1: “The differentiating factor is this venue, our proposal is different because it will benefit from facilities never imagined at the service of a grand prize. With more than 200,000 square meters and covered pavilions, 15,000 meters of space for multipurpose meetings, 10,000 parking spaces, all infrastructure equipped with the latest technology and maximum attention.”
Both the members of Formula 1 and the fans will realize how special the future Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid will be, says the president of IFEMA.
“Spaces that will allow changing the standards of the experience for participants and fans. Here we are going to offer a covered, air-conditioned club paddock with all imaginable services for the teams. We are going to create unique experiential zones for fans in our pavilions. “We are going to create meeting spaces that do not exist in any grand prix.”
“Our proposal is also different because it will be the best connected grand prize by public transport of the entire competitionsince it will have hitherto unknown accessibility, a few minutes from the city center and five minutes from the airport, with metro lines, commuter trains and urban buses, within a large city, but without paralyzing the city and cause inconvenience to the population.
“Madrid is going to be different because a new category of circuit has also been proposed, a hybrid circuit, a show circuitdefined under the premises of the 21st century competition, which will provide vibrant moments and stretches never seen before, specially designed for the viewer and for television production.”

De los Mozos also pointed to F1’s ‘zero carbon’ goal for 2030 and assured that it will be the “most sustainable race on the calendar” thanks to all its plans.
“There are two other aspects that seem fundamental to me. Our proposal is a winner because it has been created a carbon-neutral grand prixfully aligned with the sustainability, diversity and inclusion policy of Formula 1.”
“Our grand prize will be the most sustainable on the calendar. At IFEMA we are very advanced in very environmental policies and that experience and the investments planned in this area, such as the large photovoltaic plant that will begin construction this year, will place us in the best position to make it possible.
Like Ayuso, de los Mozos stated that The Spanish F1 GP in Madrid will depend on internal financing, without prejudice to the inhabitants of the capital of Spain.
“And I leave for the end what for us was the beginning. Our proposal had to be supported by a sustainable economic model, without public financing, pursuing excellence. IFEMA will be the promoter of this project, but for its organization we will have the organization of some of the best operators in the world”, concluded the president of the executive committee of IFEMA MADRID.
