Thursday, April 18, 2024.- Progress was made known regarding the search and recovery of the bodies of the workers trapped in the El Pinabete mine.

During the morning press conference, the Corporate Director in Charge of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), César Fuentes announced that in the first weeks of June it will be possible to enter the underground galleries.

In this way, he added, it will be possible to continue with the rescue of the miners trapped in the mine located in the State of Coahuila.

He said that in order to rescue the first bodies, it was necessary to make an open pit, since it was not possible to carry out work on the ducts.

The above meant an “enormous effort” to fulfill what was promised by the present administration to the families of the trapped miners.
