Olimpia Milano has entered a new chapter with the appointment of Peppe Poeta as its head coach. This change comes after Ettore Messina stepped down from the position, a decision reached in agreement with President Leo Dell’Orco.

Poeta, previously designated as Messina’s successor, now leads one of Italy’s most successful basketball teams. Messina will remain with the organization in a management role, ensuring continuity and leveraging his extensive experience.

The transition marks the end of Messina’s tenure, during which Olimpia Milan achieved significant success, including Italian championships, Italian Cups, Super Cups, and a EuroLeague Final Four appearance in 2021.
