PalaFitLine disqualified for one match, but the provision will be converted into a financial fine. The sports judge’s provision arrived «due to the invasion of the playing field at the end of the match by several people who were stationed inside the changing room tunnel, one of whom provoked and tried to come into contact with an athlete of the visiting team, a fact which did not degenerate due to the intervention of some members who prevented direct contact”. Cantù will get away with a fine but, in case of repeat offenses, there will be disqualification from the pitch.

The athlete in question is Lamb, who had been the protagonist of heavy gestures of mockery towards the Cantù curve: two rounds of disqualification, the decision on the appeal for a reduction is expected today”. Furthermore, Cantù was fined 375 euros for collective offenses against the referees by the public.

A note from the company then arrived in the evening. «With regard to the provision received from the sports judge during the approval of the match on 7 May – we read -, and the consequent disqualification of the field, Pallacanestro Cantù specifies that the disputed episode involved two non-member collaborators of the company. The two, accidentally pushed into the area reserved for members, were involved in the brief moment of tension and the consequent brawl detected by the referee team. In specifying the facts, Pallacanestro Cantù announces that it has taken the necessary measures to prevent events of this kind are repeated and, at the same time, that they have chosen to convert the disqualification from the playing field into a fine
