Celebrating Sport for Wellness: Milan’s Weekend Extravaganza
Milan is set to host a weekend of sport, wellness, and celebration as it gears up for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The “Sport for Wellness” event, organized by Confcommercio Milan, Lodi, Monza and Brianza, under the patronage of the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation, aims to promote the values of sport, physical, and mental well-being.
Olympic Athletes, Yoga, and More
The weekend event, open to the public, will feature moments of listening, meeting Italian sport champions, and the opportunity to participate in activities like yoga, walking, and showcooking. “An opportunity to reflect on how sport can be much more than physical activity: a real lifestyle, promoter of health and social cohesion,” said the organizers.
The “Sport for Wellness” event is the result of a consolidated collaboration between Confcommercio and the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation, focusing on key themes such as health, sustainability, and economic impact.
Meet the Athletes
The event will allow participants to meet some of Italy’s most successful athletes, including Paralympic swimmers Martina Rabbolini and Giulia Riva and coach Roberto Florindi, former ice skater Valentina Marchei, and former Olympic swimmer Damiano Lestingi.
