In an effort to better support local sports clubs and respond to escalating financial demands, the city of Forza Ninove has made several strategic changes to its investment support regulations for sports infrastructure. These adjustments, guided by Alderman for Sport Malika Sclacmender, aim to ensure that necessary sports infrastructure investments remain feasible and impactful.
Increasing Financial Support to 350,000 Euros
“Today’s sports associations are grappling with sharp increases in construction costs,” said Sclacmender. To mitigate this, the city has increased the maximum support amount from 300,000 to 350,000 euros per sports club. This adjustment allows each club to receive up to 350,000 euros over a period of fifteen years.
Simplifying Infrastructure Works Categories
The previous distinction between limited and major works has been abolished, creating a unified category of “infrastructure works”. This change offers sports clubs more clarity and flexibility when submitting applications for both small and large projects.
Targeted Investments in Sports Infrastructure
To maximize the impact of available resources, the city is prioritizing investments in the construction, renovation, and improvement of sports infrastructure. The purchase of land is no longer considered a major infrastructure investment.
“By consciously investing in high-quality, sustainable sports infrastructure, we ensure that it remains accessible to as many Ninovieters as possible,” added Sclacmender.
