Singapore will host Vietnamese badminton star Nguyen Tien Minh, 43, and his wife, Vu Thi Trang, as they compete in the Singapore International Badminton Tournament, running from February 24th to March 1st.

A Resilient Career

Nguyen Tien Minh, a legend of Vietnamese badminton, has chosen the Singapore International Badminton Tournament as his first competition of 2026. He has an impressive career, including four Olympic appearances, a bronze medal at the World Badminton Championships, and a peak ranking of 5th in the Badminton World Federation (BWF). He also holds 16 national men’s singles titles.

Wife and Training Partner

Accompanying Nguyen Tien Minh is his wife, Vu Thi Trang, who will also be competing in the tournament. He not only competes but also supports Vu Thi Trang in training and provides tactical guidance during matches.

Currently ranked 263rd in the world in men’s singles, Nguyen Tien Minh will begin in the qualifying rounds.
