This year’s “Morita Cup” was a captivating event held in Myoko City on October 18th and 19th, with the Myoko Baseball Club from the Joetsu-Myoko region stealing the show. Made up of nine third-year junior high school students with softball experience, this team is eager to adapt to high school baseball.
The “Morita Cup” is more than just a tournament; it’s a proving ground for young baseball enthusiasts who want to test their skills against the best in the prefecture. This year, eight teams participated, battling it out to become champion.
Road to Victory
The Myoko Baseball Club’s journey to the top was an exhilarating one. They started by defeating Maki Hardball Club in the first round. Next, they toppled Tsumari NEXUS in the second round. The semi-finals saw them overcome Minamio Baseball Club, and finally, they faced off against All Itoigawa in an epic showdown that they emerged victorious from.
