Speaking on the podcast, Alec Baldwin remembers taking group yoga classes with four men, including Paul McCartney, less than fifteen years ago. “We were called the ‘yoga boys’,” he reveals before adding that the “only one” who was good was the singer and bassist of the Beatles. “He had the most flexible body you’d ever seen – at the time he was in his late 60s – and he was so fit,” the actor reflects.

One day, he recalls, Paul McCartney “did a handstand and before he left, he stood up and whispered to me, ‘I’m going to take my daughter to lunch, I’ll see you guys later’.” Impressed but somewhat envious of the musician’s yogic prowess, Alec Baldwin jokingly retorts: “You’re an asshole.” A scene that the actor has never forgotten. “I never thought I would call one of the Beatles an asshole, but he was always showing us his physical abilities. He was really very muscular,” he continued.
For his part, Paul McCartney is very proud of his sporting talents. “The handstand is my moment of glory when I’m in the gym… A yoga teacher once told me that it helps me stay young,” he wrote in an Instagram post in September 2022.
