Today’s Sunday was the day from the beginning official football matches on the territory of our county.
The first matches of the Football Cup were played in four football centers of our county. The 1st round was played, or 1/16 finals. The most interesting for us were the matches played in the Football Centers Korčula – Lastovo and Pelješac where they were played in total four games.
Already Lastova and the biggest surprise happened. The home team – the county’s second league team celebrated over the county’s first league team from Smokvica. And convincingly. Youth won Jadran Smokvica as a result 3:0 ! Scorers for Lastovci were David Katic (18), Karlo Kustura (45+1) i Luka Pejović (64).
The young man thus joined in the next round Žrnov, Hajduk 1932 and BŠK Zmaj who were free in the 1st round.
U They suffer already Oliver Antunović playground and the neighbors from Potomje were guests. Duel Pharaoh – Greek –the trial of two county second league players has ended with the home team winning 1:0. He was the scorer of the next round’s worth of goals Jakov Volarevic (48).
In Ston yet another duel between two county second league players Ponikve – War. In the regular part, it ended without goals, in penalty kicks he was better host 5:3. All five Ponikva football players (Sandro Salacan, Hrvoje Franković, Ante Franković, Dario Andrović and Josip Jukić) were successful from the penalty spot. For Rat they guessed Ivo Mustapić, Dino Špaleta and Goran Vujević while Jure Tomic he failed to guess which decided the winner.
There were no surprises Putniković on the Badnjar playground. The county first division team was better than the second division team. Orebic was convincing against the hosts. Two goals gave the young Noa Kwokal (35,50) , and they scored once Elmedin Alic (17) i Vladimir Ravlić (39).
Faraon, Ponikve and Orebić that’s how they joined in the 2nd round SOŠK-u 1919 who was free in the 1st round.
In the other County Cup matches played today, the following results were achieved: Maestral – Neretva 1:3, Gusar – ONK Metković 1:1/ 4:5 on penalties, NA Libertas – Župa Dubrovnik 1:2 / 5:5 on penalties, Croatia – GOŠK Dubrovnik 1919 0:3, Enkel – Sokol 0: 3, Slaven – Konavljanin 1:2
