National volleyball player Alex Nikolov, for whom it became clear that he will miss the season for the state team, will undergo an operation in Italy due to the back problem. This was announced by his club “Kuchine Lube” (Civitanova)
The 20-year-old forward will undergo surgery for a herniated disc.
The operation will be performed on May 16 at the Borgo Trento Hospital in Verona by Professor Massimo Balsano.
Nikolov must rest for a mandatory 60 days before starting to gradually enter training. Alex, who is a junior at “Levski”, will also miss the start of the new season.
