Gijón Easter Sports Program Offers Variety for Kids and Teens
Gijón’s City Council is set to host its sixth annual Easter Sports Vacations program, providing a wide array of athletic and recreational opportunities for children and adolescents aged 2 to 18. The program, running from March 30th to April 2nd, features a multi-sports campus, family activities and eleven short courses.
Program Highlights
The multi-sports campus, designed for children aged 5 to 14, will include individual and collective activities, with daily pool games. Costs range from 34.80 euros for children aged 5-7 to 41.40 euros for those aged 8-14. The schedule will run from 8:45 a.m. To 2:30 p.m. At various locations including the Eduardo Martínez Torner school, La Calzada Sports Club, Manuel Martínez Blanco school, and El Llano swimming pool.
Short Courses and Family Activities
The program will similarly feature popular short-term courses, including surf initiation in San Lorenzo (March 30-31 and April 1-2, 30.80 euros), horse riding at the Astur Equestrian Club (18.80 euros), and a 4×4 Raqueta course offering tennis, paddle tennis, badminton, and pickleball (5.70 euros). Family-friendly options include a pirate challenge gymkhana for children aged 2-3 accompanied by an adult, family pickleball, and archery.

Registration opens on March 9th at 8:30 a.m. And can be completed through the town hall website, its application, or in person at the Citizen Services offices using the Citizen Card. Inclusive places will be available for children and adolescents with disabilities, requiring an on-site assessment at the Sports Board for appropriate adaptations.
