Tournament Details
The six-team tournament is scheduled to grab place from July 19 to 25, 2027. This event will follow the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Stage 2026, with the top two teams from each group, plus two wild cards, advancing to the Finals.
The International Women’s Baseball Centre (IWBC) in Rockford will likewise host one of the two groups for the 2026 Group Stage, from July 22 to 27, 2026. The location of the second group stage host will be announced by the WBSC at a later date.

2026 Group Stage Qualification
Nine teams have already qualified for the 2026 Group Stage. Great Britain secured a spot by winning the European Championship. Venezuela, Mexico, and Cuba qualified through the Pan American Women’s Baseball Championship, while Canada and Puerto Rico will compete for the final Americas spot. Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, China, and Korea earned qualification through the BFA Women’s Baseball Asian Cup.
The USA has been awarded a wild card, and Oceania will also qualify a team. The WBSC will award a second wild card to complete the twelve-team field.
Japan currently holds the title, having defeated the USA in the 2024 Women’s Baseball World Cup World Championship Final, securing their seventh consecutive world title.
