Pakur-On Tuesday, a case of murder of yoga teacher Pramod Kumar Bhagat (32) over a mere 340 rupees dues has come to light at Pachuvada turn under Amdapada police station area of the district. According to the information, on Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 pm, amidst heavy rain, Jayaram Turi, a resident of Ranga Tola of Pachuvada, came to Pramod’s breakfast shop to buy rice. Pramod demanded the old 340 rupees dues from Jayaram. On this trivial matter, Jayaram stabbed Pramod with a knife in his shop itself, injured him and fled from the spot. As soon as Pramod was stabbed, he shouted knife-knife loudly. As soon as Pramod shouted, his staff thought that Pramod was asking for a knife. Pramod, in his injured state, wrote Jayaram’s name and the 340 rupees dues on a paper. Pramod was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. After the incident, the angry family members have blocked the coal dumpers demanding the arrest of the accused.
Pramod was known as a soft-spoken and loved person
Pramod alias Munna, the youngest of the three brothers, was famous as a soft-spoken person as well as a yoga teacher. Pramod used to do dozens of social works like collecting old clothes from people in winters and distributing them to the poor, providing free education to children, motivating people to give up drug addiction, etc.

To earn a living, he opened a snack shop at Pachuvada turn about 2 years ago and he used to spend the income from it in serving the people.
