13th Annual Yoga Festival Draws Record Crowd in 9 de Julio

The 13th Annual Yoga Festival of 9 de Julio took place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Physical Education Center (CEF) 101, attracting a record-breaking crowd that surpassed previous editions. The event, which began in 2013 to celebrate the city’s 150 years, has grown into an open, free, and supportive gathering that showcases yoga’s deeper aspects: community, sharing, and harmony.

Key Events and Attendees

The festival kicked off at 9 am with a reception led by Fernanda Mattone. Throughout the day, participants and locals explored various yoga styles and practices, such as:

  • Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga by Marina Viegas and Carolina Tarant
  • Om meditation with Federico Oliveri
  • Reiki healing with María E. Zato
  • Hatha Yoga with Silvina Banno
  • Yoga Nidra with Claudia Fernández
  • Tarot reading with Sheila Pardavila
  • Intro to Shamanism with Marina Gentilumo
  • Chakra Dance with Ana Tello
  • Human Bridge session with Stefanía Alcazar

Record Attendance and Positive Feedback

Edgardo Martínez, one of the organizing professors, reflected on the festival: “We have been doing the Festival for 13 years, and this year was the most successful yet, with over 250 participants. The weather was favorable, and we had the presence of many artisans and related products. People came from Buenos Aires, La Plata, Casares, Bragado, Junín, Los Toldos, and other cities to join us.”

“We were very satisfied with the participation. The activities were carried out as planned, and those who wish can join in future editions or come to observe, it is good for a relaxed atmosphere, and whoever wants can practice a wide variety of styles and forms of yoga. You don’t need to be an expert or have experience, it is done for a beginner’s level, or someone who has no knowledge.”
