Yente Van Doren 11th after the first round of the Gelpenberg Open in the Netherlands

Yente Van Doren shot a two-under-par 69 to finish 11th in the Gelpenberg Open, a €30,000 Pro Golf Tour event. He is the highest-ranked of the eight Belgians on the greens at Aalden in the Netherlands.

Lars Buijs and Kristof Ulenaers stayed within par (71) and are in 23rd place. Arnaud Galland and James Meyer of Beco are in 81st place with a first round completed in 74 strokes (+3). Jean De Wouters and Maxime Palenik needed one more stroke (75) to position themselves in 97th place. Tanguy Marionex posted a score of 78 (+7). He is in 126th place.

A quartet shares the lead in the standings after the first round, with Germans Julius Kreutzer, Nils Dobrunz and Martin Obtmeier, as well as Frenchman Clément Heurtin, all completing their first round in 67 shots, at four under par.
