Xoga Judo 2024 Tournament in Porriño: Ourense Delegation Sets Sights on Victory

This Saturday, May 11, the Xoga Judo 2024 tournament, a regional competition that will bring together hundreds of judokas, from the Benjamin, Alevín and Infant categories, born between 2010 and 2017, will take place at the Porriño Sports Pavilion (Pontevedra). The Ourense judo delegation will be supervised by Master Manuel Montero and directed on the Tatami by Masters Felipe Iglesias and Anita Fernández Morais. The judokas Guillermo Arenas and Adriel Puga participated as assistants, while Oliver Balvís and Felipe Iglesias served as referees on the Ourense side.

Seventh Dan Master Manuel Montero explains that the philosophy of ´´Xoga Judo´´ consists of three objectives ´´ to initiate children into competition, educate them through it and promote the values ​​of our sport´´.

In 2023, excellent results were obtained, 12 gold medals, 12 silver, 5 bronze, four places and 1 fifth place.
