Argentina’s Tennis Season Kicks Off with Promising Talents
The first international professional tennis tournaments of the season in Argentina are set to begin, with the AAT Challenger TCA and W50 Buenos Aires tournaments based at the prestigious Tennis Club Argentino in Palermo. The organizers have confirmed the wild cards for each competition, granting opportunities to some of the country’s most promising young talents.
Men’s Competition: Three Rising Stars
The invitations for the men’s competition went to Luciano Ambrogi, Maillo Zeitune, and Dante Pagani, three impressive young players who have shown sustained growth and outstanding results in recent seasons.
Luciano Ambrogi
A 22-year-old from Rosario, Ambrogi reached his career-high ranking of 342 in July 2023 after winning two ITF M15 tournaments in Antalya. Standing at 1.90 meters tall, he possesses an aggressive game and solid fundamentals.
Maillo Zeitune
The 19-year-old from Tucumán made his professional breakthrough in 2025, reaching his first final at the M15 tournament in Santiago, Chile. With a one-handed backhand and a strong serve, Zeitune aims to continue his upward trajectory in the rankings.
Dante Pagani
At just 17 years old, Pagani is already making waves in Argentine tennis. Born in San Lorenzo, Santa Fe, he combines his professional career with the ITF Junior circuit, where he currently ranks 16th in the world. Pagani’s powerful game and offensive strokes make him one of the strongest newcomers in South American youth tennis.
Women’s Competition: A Mix of Experience and Youth
The women’s tournament wild cards were granted to Josefina Estevez, Luciana Moyano, Candela Vazquez, and Marina Bulbarella, presenting a blend of experience and youthful promise.

Josefina Estevez
The 18-year-old from May 25, Buenos Aires, achieved a career-high ranking of 885 in 2023. Despite dealing with injuries in 2025, Estevez ended the year on a positive note, advancing through qualifying rounds in various ITF tournaments.
Luciana Moyano
A 20-year-old Cordoba native, Moyano was the junior world No. 12 in 2022 and has already claimed a professional title at the W15 Eldorado tournament. She finished 2025 with a strong tour, reaching several quarterfinals and a semifinal, and was extremely successful in doubles, accumulating 10 ITF titles.
Candela Vazquez
Born in San Pedro, Buenos Aires, in 2008, Vazquez alternates between junior and professional competitions. She reached her best ranking of 635 in the WTA in July 2025 and won two consecutive W15 titles in Paraguay at the end of 2024.
Marina Bulbarella
The 20-year-old from Buenos Aires has been a professional player since 2021, achieving a career-high ranking of 1212. Her best result in 2025 was reaching the quarterfinals of the W15 Neuquén tournament.
