Qualifying for the finals of the National tennis cup following victory at the ASPTT Chaumont tournament this summer, Eliott Frbezar spent a week in Cap d’Agde taking part in the tournament and taking advantage of the game.

From Langres resin to clay or Cap d’Agde quickly. This is the game change that Eliott Frbezar had to make when he took part from October 20 to 26 in the last part of National tennis cup. The tournament organized in Cap d’Agde became an event of the FFT (French Tennis Federation) registered in 2022 and is organized as a tournament from NC to 4/6.

At the age of 12, Eliott qualified for this final stage by winning the ASPTT Chaumont competition in the summer of 2024. That’s how, with his parents and brother, he went to Hérault to compete. “Overall it was very good to take part in this competition but I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself,” emphasizes the student, who has been granted a license at Tennis padel Langres.

In addition to the competition itself, the young man from Langres was also able to take advantage of this opportunity

Living with his family in a house a few minutes from Cap d’Agde, Eliott explains that he did not want to do too much training before entering the National Tennis Cup. “My first tournament was held indoors and on clay, which was only my second time in the world,” explains the young tennis player.

After a bit of confusion in the first game, Eliott explains that he was able to find his rhythm later “by putting more into my bars and trying to break the rhythm because my opponent wanted to play at a higher tempo”. After winning the first round of the tournament on Sunday October 20, the player from Langres was able to take the next day off to visit the area around Cap d’Agde.

In the second round, Eliott faced a 30/2 player like him but the 15/4 didn’t do well and lost 7-6 7-6, not facing a more experienced opponent. Indeed, the holder of the Tennis padel Langres license was very young in the sport and the matches he was able to play allowed him to gain more knowledge but above all to get used to change.

Indeed, his second meeting was held outside in the sun and in a hurry. This is a complete change compared to his entry into the competition. In the end, Eliott says he had a good week between tennis, fun and travel. There is no doubt that they will want to repeat what happened next year at the National Tennis Cup.
