Won two silver medals: one with Diego Secchi in the Master class and one with Mattia Salvi in the U14 class
Tag The Ju Jitsu World Championships, held in Crete (Greece) at the Heraklion Sports Arena, which began on 23 October and ended on 4 November with the 2024 World Cup reserved for U14 athletes, brought good results to Italian national team who, in all age classes and weight categories, collected 86 medals in total.
Also contributing to this haul, with results that filled the fans of this sport with satisfaction, were two athletes from the Judo Club Sakura Arma di Taggia asd who won two silver medals, one with Diego Secchi in the Master class and one with Mattia Safe in the U14 class. Mattia Salvi, who made his debut in international competitions and participated in the last day of the competition, played three great matches, winning silver in the Fighting System cat. The weight of up to 69 kg has a small gap from the first, only two points, confirming his good result.
These results reward the great commitment of the Technical Teachers Andrea Molinari and Manuela Ferrigno, who always follow their athletes, preparing the best competition tactics with them. Maestro Andrea Molinari stated: “We are proud of the results, two silver medals, fifth and ninth place in a World Championship is a great satisfaction. Now we cannot rest on our laurels, but we must continue training to soon face the “Foligno Open” and the “Italian Cup” in Genoa”.
