Iker Muniain He landed in Argentina this Monday and was welcomed as the new midfielder of San Lorenzo, and he brought his family with him to live this new experience, including his current partner, Ana Montoya, former badminton champion, who will accompany him on his adventures with the Cyclone.
Originally from Navarra, Montoya, 26, has a long history of victories and gold medals from national championships that she collected at the Badminton Club of Estella during her teenage years. And sport is not the only thing she shares with the new star of the Blaugrana: both have a great passion for horses.
Muniain shared several photos of himself on Instagram posing next to a horse from the Yeguada Gaucho del Club Hípico de La Galea, to which he belongs. For his part, Montoya shared videos and photos posing with horses from the same club, and even became part of his advertisements on social networks.
There are several things that unite Muniain and Montoya, but one of the most notable is the club that the Spanish player was part of before moving to Argentina. Muniain was not the only Athletic Club player that the former badminton player dated. She had a relationship with Álex Remiro, who was the goalkeeper of the red-and-whites until 2019 and today wears the Real Sociedad shirt.
Muniain, for his part, was married between 2017 and 2021 to Andrea Sesma and they had two children: Iker and Claudia.
