The deputy manager of Education, Youth and Sports of the Provincial Municipality of Huamanga (MPH), Juan Escriba Palomino, stated that sports workshops “Vacation with Identity 2025” They will host more than 3 thousand children and adolescents in their different cultural and sports disciplines.
“Each group has been segmented by age. This means that we have enough space to host an average of 3,750 children and adolescents interested in our free workshops, which will be offered during this month of January and February,” Escriba emphasized.
Among the workshops that will be offered free of charge are the disciplines of kickboxing, volleyball, soccer, basketball, cycling, chess, athletics, as well as dance, theater, music (flute and guitar), public speaking, leadership and others.

“19 sports and cultural workshops will be offered this summer, which will allow children to develop psychomotor skills, as well as soft skills,” Escriba emphasized.

Escriba also reported that some of the venues for these sports and cultural workshops are the “9 de Diciembre”, “María Parado de Bellido”, “Mariscal Sucre” and “Gustavo Castro Pantoja” schools. In addition, sports complexes such as the “Cholo Sotil” and “Leoncio Prado” stadiums will host the disciplines of football, athletics, cycling and table tennis. As for the “Acoustic Shell” of the MPH, the sports of judo, karate and kickboxing will be carried out.
“We have included 19 workshops that will be carried out in the spaces provided by the municipality, such as the ‘Concha Acústica’ and the ‘Leoncio Prado’ stadium, where the cycling and athletics disciplines will be developed. We also have some educational institutions,” concluded the deputy manager.
