LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana – Riding high off their first team title since September 2021, the UTSA Roadrunners men’s golf team will travel to Lake Charles, Louisiana, to compete in the Golden Nugget Invitational hosted by Lamar at The Country Club at The Golden Nugget. The 54-hole, stroke-play event will feature competition against Abilene Christian, Houston, Lamar, Northern Colorado, Oakland, Tarleton, Troy, ULM, USC Upstate and Wichita State.

UTSA’s lineup includes Joshua Hong, Francisco Solorza, Sam Acharya, Logan Vargas and Brayden Bare, with David Martinez and Jacob King competing as individuals. The tournament begins Monday with 36 holes played starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, similarly with an 8:30 a.m. Shotgun start.
