The Charrúa Awards, Uruguay’s premier sports distinction, has released its list of nominees for the 52nd edition, and athletes from the Department of Colonia are making waves with their outstanding performances from July 2024 to June 2025.

The Prestigious Gold Charrúa and Other Awards
The sought-after gold charrúa will be awarded to the athlete who has made exceptional national and international contributions to their sport. Additionally, four silver charrúas will recognize outstanding sports achievements, best performance abroad, revelation of the year, and the best Uruguayan athlete overseas.
