Rising Judo Star Claims Double National Title

Eduardo Sagastegui Becerra, a student at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, has achieved a remarkable feat, winning gold medals in both the Junior (U21) and Senior categories at the “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” 2026 National Tournament held in Tlaxcala.

Dominating Performance at the National Tournament

The competition, which took place from February 19 to 22, drew participants from 36 entities across the country and served as the primary qualifying event for the CONADE 2026 National Games. Sagastegui demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, overcoming top competitors in both age divisions.
