UAB Men’s Tennis: Blazing Start to Fall Season at Louisville Invitational
LOUISVILLE – The UAB men’s tennis team ignited its fall campaign with an impressive performance at the Louisville Invitational, competing against Louisville, Tennessee, Belmont, Bellarmine, EKU, and Xavier.
Doubles Domination
Sophomore Conor Flynn and junior Juan Pablo Valdez stole the spotlight by clinching the A-Draw doubles title, setting the tone for the Blazers’ strong showing.
Singles Success
- Junior Ondrej Valek put together an impressive 3–1 record in the A-Draw singles.
- In the B Draw, Tomas Tischner and Axel Frechet also notched 3–1 records, with Frechet picking up his first collegiate win and Tischner earning his first as a Blazer.
- Redshirt sophomore Jake Anthony added to the team’s success by securing his first singles victory of the season.
