2026 U.S. U-18 Women’s National Team Kicks Off IIHF Worlds Journey in Halifax

The 2026 U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team (U18 WNT) embarked on its IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship journey on Monday, descending upon the picturesque city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The team, led by head coach Courtney Kennedy, is wasting no time in preparing for the global stage.

First Practice: Off and Running

After gathering in their Dartmouth, Nova Scotia hotel lobby, the team made their way to the RBC Centre for their first practice. The hard work began as soon as they hit the ice, with a two-hour session filled with various drills and special teams work.

“We’re excited to be here and get things started. The initial practice was all about getting our legs underneath us and starting to build chemistry.”
