Nuremberg Judo Scene Heats Up with TSV Altenfurt Hosting Major Events

Nuremberg’s TSV Altenfurt is set to become a hub for Judo action, welcoming Bundesliga teams to the Wohlauerstrasse sports hall throughout May and June. The club is hosting a series of home fight days, showcasing both high-level competition and local talent.

Upcoming Match Schedule

The action kicks off on February 27th with a mix relay team competition against TV Fürth 1860 and Katarashi Nürnberg.

May 9th will feature a major competition day with three teams participating. The TSV Altenfurt mix relay will compete against DJK Ensdorf and Eintracht Falkenheim in the Middle Franconia district league, starting at 12:00 PM. Following this, at 4:00 PM, the TSV Altenfurt women’s team will face SG Eltmann in the 1st Judo Bundesliga.

Jahn Nürnberg 2012 will also utilize the Wohlauerstrasse facility for their home games in the men’s 2nd Bundesliga, taking on HTG Bad Homburg in 2012.

Continued Competition Through September

The competitive schedule extends through June and into September. On June 13th, TSV Altenfurt’s mix relay will battle Yama Samurai and the Karlstädter Keiler from 12:00 PM, with the women’s team then competing against 1. SC Gröbenzell in the 1st Bundesliga at 4:00 PM.

Jahn Nürnberg 2012 has further home matches scheduled at the Wohlauerstrasse sports hall: against TV 1848 Erlangen on March 28th, the Heubach judo center on August 29th, and TSV Munich-Großhadern on September 5th.

Bundesliga and District League Action

The TSV Altenfurt women’s team will also compete in away matches against Budo-Club Karlsruhe, VfL Sindelfingen, and TSG Backnang.

As stated in a club announcement, The home fights offer judo sport at district and federal league level. Spectators are encouraged to attend and support the teams.
