Young Basketball Players Invited to RASTA Academy & YOUNG RASTA DRAGONS Tryouts

Vechta, Germany – Aspiring basketball players with dreams of a professional career are invited to try out for the prestigious RASTA Academy and YOUNG RASTA DRAGONS. The cooperative effort between RASTA Vechta and the Artland Dragons offers intensive selection training over four days in March and April 2026.

JBBL Tryout Dates (Born 2011 & 2012)

• March 2, 2026 (Monday) – 5 p.m. To 7 p.m. – Dragons Center (Jahnstrasse, 49610 Quakenbrück)
• April 18, 2026 (Saturday) – 10 a.m. To 12 p.m. – RASTA Dome (Pariser Straße 8, 49377 Vechta)

NBBL Tryout Dates (Born 2008, 2009 & 2010)

• March 3, 2026 (Tuesday) – 4 p.m. To 6 p.m. – Dragons Center (Jahnstraße, 49610 Quakenbrück)
• April 18, 2026 – 2 p.m. To 4 p.m. – RASTA Dome (Pariser Straße 8, 49377 Vechta)

A History of Success and Collaboration

RASTA Vechta and the Artland Dragons have fostered a strong partnership in youth basketball development since 2016, further strengthening their collaboration in 2025. Currently, the clubs field teams in multiple leagues, including the Youth Basketball Bundesliga (U19 and U16), easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga, BARMER 2nd Basketball Bundesliga ProA and ProB, and the 1st and 2nd Regionalliga.

The commitment to youth development has been recognized with the Gold certification awarded to RASTA Vechta by the easyCredit BBL for their comprehensive youth programs, ranging from kindergarten and school activities to their ProB farm team. This marks the second consecutive time the club has received this prestigious honor.
