Torrelodones Expands Healthy Living & Learning Opportunities for All Ages

The Local Government Board of Torrelodones has approved a 10-month extension for yoga and pilates workshops, starting October 1, 2025, and concluding on June 30, 2026. Aimed at the elderly, these workshops serve as a social hub while promoting active aging, as stated by the municipality.

Educational Support for Young Students

Take Away Playing, a socio-educational intervention project, targets school children aged 6 to 12 from disadvantaged backgrounds. It begins on October 1 and lasts until June 30, 2026, offering two weekly sessions focusing on school tasks and personal development skills. The project aims to prevent school absenteeism and support minors at risk, announced the Local Government Board.

“This initiative specifically attends to school minors from families and socially disadvantaged fields, at risk or who are being the subject of some protection.”

Classroom Support Extended

Support services in the classrooms of infants aged 3 to 6 have been extended for the CEIP El Encinar, CEIP Las Angélica, and CEIP Nuestra Señora de Lourdes public schools.
