The Spanish prosecutor’s office requested two and a half years in prison for the former president of the country’s football federation, Luis Rubiales, because of the affair with the sexual aggression with the forced kiss of Jenny Hermoso, AFP reported, quoted by BTA. This became clear after all the interrogations and before the opening of the court case.
Luis Rubiales is on trial for “sexual aggression” and the surprise and unconsensual kiss on the lips of the number 10 of Spain’s world champions Hermoso in August 2023. It came as the team was crowned world champions, with his gesture sparking outrage in Spain and beyond worldwide.
