The Simpsons: Yellow Family shows heart for the victims of the fire

The world’s most famous animation family put on a show of support for those affected by the devastating fire in Los Angeles. On Friday night, the creators of the series “The Simpsons” (since 1989) announced on his Instagram account a custom artwork featuring the yellow family in front of their Springfield home.

In the picture, the parents, Homer and Marge, hold a large banner that reads “We Love You LA!” (“We love you LA!”), as Bart presented a list of areas particularly affected: “Palisades, Altadena, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Topanga, Malibu and all affected.” (German … and all affected by it”). The drawing also includes loving details such as poppies in Lisa’s hands – which are the state flower of California. The move comes as wildfires continue to rage in the region. The Eaton Fire, which caused extensive damage in Altadena and Pasadena, covers more than 14,100 hectares.

The consequences of natural disasters can be devastating: 27 people lost their lives and thousands lost their homes and businesses. In total, more than 12,300 buildings were destroyed in the two main fires. The unpredictable spread of the fire poses many challenges for the emergency services – even firefighters from Canada and Mexico are now supporting the extinguishing work.

The Simpsons joins a long list of celebrities who have expressed their support for those affected.
