It is reported that the “Happy Island Cup” Youth Football Invitational Tournament is based on the core mission of promoting the development of youth football and building a platform for exchanges between Chinese and world youth players. It aims to further play the role of the tournament in promoting friendly exchanges of sports and culture between my country and other countries in the world, and help promote the healthy, sustainable and high-quality development of youth football.
The second “Happy Island Cup” Youth Football Invitational Tournament is scheduled to open on October 1 and close on October 8. The tournament invites 16 high-level teams from 4 continents (South America, Europe, Australia, Asia) and 8 countries (Brazil, the Netherlands, Bahrain, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Indonesia, and China) to participate.
The competition is divided into two stages: the group stage and the knockout stage. The 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups and play a single round-robin match. The top 2 teams in each group will enter the knockout stage and finally be ranked 1 to 16.
This event is jointly sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and the Zhangzhou Municipal People’s Government, co-organized by the Fujian Basketball, Volleyball and Football Management Center, Zhangzhou Municipal Sports Bureau and Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone Management Committee, and co-hosted by the Fujian Football Association, Zhangzhou Gulei Port Economic Development Zone Management Committee Culture, Education, Sports and Tourism Bureau and Happy Island (Fujian) Tourism Development Co., Ltd.

As the venue for this football match, the Zhangzhou Happy Island International Football Training Base located in the Zhangzhou Gulei Development Zone is one of the first 21 pilot city projects in the country’s special action for the construction of social football fields. It is positioned to build a first-class Asian and nationally high-quality fully enclosed football training base. Currently, 33 all-natural grass football fields have been built.
