Sanitas Foundation y Alentia Foundation extended their collaboration agreement to offer Workshops on nutrition and healthy behavior for young people previously managed by the Community of Madrid. This collaboration is part of the agreement maintained by the two foundations since 2022 and through this the professionals of Sanitas Emission and Sanitas Hospitals They offer their time and knowledge to provide young people with care support in various areas, including psychological support.
Until now, the collaboration has focused on psychological support for young people, but on this occasion it has been expanded to provide various workshop on nutrition, eating healthy or maintaining proper sleep hygienetips that will also help them in adulthood.
In particular, a nutritionist and two psychologists from Sanitas will manage these workshops, to which, approximately, about 90 participants will have access.
“The goal of this program is to give young people knowledge so that they can continue with healthier lifestyle habits. We offer recommendations on nutrition, on the shopping list or how to prepare food to it’s healthier and more economical. Many people believe that eating healthy means more expenses, so we focus especially on recommendations that have a direct impact on their family’s finances,” he explained. On the other hand, workshops related to sleep and its quality will also be taught, as part of preventing emotional care. “Rest and sleep are important to protect our health, so it is important that young people learn how to take care of it, how to maintain proper sleep hygiene and how good sleep affects their lives ,” he continued. The workshops, which started in October, will continue throughout the month of November and will also have a hybrid format, in-person and digital, with the aim of facilitating their intervention for the participants.
