Thanks to Nautical Club the sailing show returns to the center of Olbia. In fact, it will be the body of water between the Brin pier and the Bosazza pier, which the municipal administration has recently allocated to the organization of international events of various aquatic disciplines, to host the regional selection of the Optimist Class which will designate the team that will represent Sardinia at the next Italian championships.

The competition, organized by the Olbia association under the aegis of Italian Sailing Federation and the patronage of Municipality of Olbia, will therefore be visible to everyone from the new beautiful seaside promenade. The participating teamsmade up of very young athletes from the most important and active clubs throughout Sardinia, will compete for qualification for the Italian team racing championship of the historic monotype.

Started 76 years ago, the Optimist is probably the greatest success story of any boat class. The Optimist is in fact the largest racing class today, with around half a million boats racing they sail all over the worldand has been, and remains, a real training ground for generations of skippers.

A gym that has forged some of the most successful sailors of world sailing. The appointment is for Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May but from today it will be possible to admire the training sessions of the guys at Molo Brin. The backdrop to the event will be the splendid headquarters of the Sailing Club which, in addition to the boats, hosts the technical area for judges and athletes in the Clubhouse.
