The Overlord Alliance and the French Golf Tour have joined forces to organize a tournament with an innovative format from June 4 to 6. It will also aim to pay tribute to the soldiers and civilians engaged during the Normandy landings of 1944.

The calendar of French Golf Tour Road To Arkea was modified. In fact, theAlliance Overlordcreated many years ago under the impetus ofJohn Folliotwill count for the circuit led by Xavier Dutrieu.

This alliance, supported in particular by Jean-Claude Forestier and his business The Little Forester, will take place from June 4 to 6, the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings and Operation Overlord. This military operation which gave its name to the event will of course be commemorated. The tournament will be played on the Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil and the Léry-Poses Golf.

Two formats in one

This event will be special since it will mix pros playing individually (Pro without a team and “high level” amateurs) and in Alliance (Pro + Am). The two series will be brought together in a single competition which will guarantee €10,000 in prize money (including €3,000 for the winner, 14 pros paid).

Players in Alliance format will first play on the Léry-Poses Golf when players in Individual format will be on the Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil. They will reverse for the second day. For the third round, all professionals and “high level” amateurs will play on the Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil. The tournament will count for the general ranking French Golf Tour Road To Arkea which will offer €2,000 to the best player of the season.
