Potentially the most talented baseball team ever assembled for competitive play takes the field this week and it’ll be wearing red, white and blue.

Team USA will kick off its quest for a second World Baseball Classic trophy at the 2026 WBC when it faces Brazil at Daikin Park in Houston for the first game of Group B pool play on Friday, March 6. The U.S. Enters the tournament as the favorite per BetMGM.

Star-Studded Roster Highlights American Squad

The U.S. Features both 2026 Cy Young Award winners – Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers and Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates – at the top of its rotation and three-time American League MVP Aaron Judge at the heart of its order. But those aren’t the only large names donning the stars and stripes, as Team USA features All-Stars and future Hall of Famers up and down its roster.

The 2026 WBC features four pools.

Pool A will play games at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Pool B will play games at Daikin Park in Houston, home of the Houston Astros. Pool C will play at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, and Pool D will play at loanDepot Park in Miami, home of the Miami Marlins.
