Da Nang — TCP Vietnam, in cooperation with the Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation (CVCF) and the National Volunteer Center (VVC), proudly launched the “Community Sports Court – Revitalizing Vietnam Youth” project in Da Nang city.
In a ceremony that demonstrated their commitment to youth development, organizers inaugurated the city’s second community sports playground, designed specifically to meet the exercise needs of local residents. The newly upgraded facility includes state-of-the-art sports equipment and well-maintained areas, creating an invaluable space for young people to develop their physical fitness and mental well-being.
The renovated sports court is approximately 1,000 square meters in size and contains a basketball court, volleyball court, pickleball court, in addition to various state-of-the-art sports facilities and equipment.
Recent renovations have significantly improved the grounds, paving the grounds, expanding green spaces, and installing outdoor fitness equipment such as portable basketball hoops and badminton posts, as well as multi-purpose sports equipment.
With the aim of promoting environmental responsibility, recycling cupboards and waste bins have also been launched, encouraging the local community to efficiently separate and recycle waste, thereby contributing to the protection of their environment and reducing the disposal of recyclable materials.
So far, the “Community Sports Garden” initiative has successfully opened two sports gardens in Thanh Hoá and Đà Nẵng. Looking ahead, three more yards will open in Cần Thơ, Bắc Giang and Ho Chi Minh City in October. In addition, four more projects in Đồng Nai, Bắc Ninh, Bình Dương and Nghe An provinces are predicted to start in 2024.
This comprehensive implementation plan focuses on renovating and modernizing community sports facilities with the aim of creating facilities that are not only functional but also meet the specific needs of local residents. After three years, from 2024 to 2026, a total of 20 projects will be implemented, and special attention will be paid to providing quality sports fields for youth in areas where there is a lack of training facilities. – VNS
