Ramdev has filed a petition in the apex court demanding a stay on the criminal proceedings.

The Patna and Raipur centers of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) had filed a complaint in 2021 that Ramdev’s comments were likely to have an adverse impact on the fight against Corona. The bench of Justices MM Sundaresh and PB Varale, which was hearing Ramdev’s petition, said that for Ramdev to get relief, the complainants also need to be made parties.
