Stilijan Petrov will play in a charity match between the legends of “Celtic” and “Borussia” (D)

Stilijan Petrov will take part in the charity match between the Celtic legends and the Borussia (Dortmund) legends at the end of May, the Scottish champions’ foundation confirmed on Wednesday.

The former captain of the Bulgarian national team will be in Glasgow again on May 26, when Celtic Park will host the exhibition match between the two teams.

Scott Brown, Paul Lambert, Emilio Isaguirre, Gary Hooper and Joe Ledley will also take part in the match for Celtic.

The event is organized by the club’s foundation from Glasgow.

Stiliyan Petrov wears the “Celtic” team in the period 1999-2006. The former midfielder also has his own foundation and is very often involved in charity initiatives.

Nearly a decade ago, Petrov managed to overcome the insidious disease of leukemia.
