Stephen Curry has no plans to leave the NBA when he stops playing. The Warriors star, who already has four rings under his belt, makes it clear that the world of basketball is his passion and that he believes he can contribute a lot to American competition in the future as an NBA team owner.
“In my case, that’s definitely on the table. “I think I could make a good contribution to maintaining the current greatness of the NBA and showing what it takes to lead an organization to a championship,” he tells Jessica Golden. CNBC.
While part of his plan may be as stated, Curry is clear he doesn’t plan on running to achieve it. He recently signed a one-year extension with Golden State worth $62.5 million for the 2026-27 season and understands there’s still a lot of work to be done on the court. “The reality is I know I have a lot more to accomplish on the court before I take on other roles in the league,” he says.

Curry led the San Francisco team to an unexpected ring in 2022, which they were unable to continue in the following two years; so much so that they did not advance past the play-in last season.
