A commanding performance by SpVgg Jahn Forchheim’s badminton teams culminated in a clean sweep of regional derbies against BV Bamberg on the final match day of the year, securing top places in their respective tables.

All four Forchheim teams traveled to Bamberg and returned with decisive wins against their local rivals. The home team, BV Bamberg, failed to pose significant resistance as Forchheim dominated across the board.

The first team from Forchheim started the day with a confident 7-1 victory over BV Bamberg II, sealing their second place in the Upper Franconian regional league. They set the tone for their teammates, who continued to amass wins throughout the day.

• Team Two: They replicated the first team’s success with an 7-1 win over the same opponent, securing their third place in the table.
• Team Three: Jahn III displayed their strength with an 8-0 whitewash against BV Bamberg IV followed by a 7-1 victory against the third team from Bamberg. They will start the new year in the second spot in the district league.
• Team Four: In a closer encounter, the fourth team from Forchheim fought hard and emerged victorious against BV III, thanks to impressive performances by their women’s team. They then recorded a 7-1 win against Bamberg IV, climbing to third place.
