Colombia’s coach, Néstor Lorenzo, said this Friday that it is “frustrating” to fall the way his team did against Uruguay.
“I want to see what happened in the end well, but it is very frustrating to be beaten like that,” emphasized the Argentine technical director at a press conference.
Likewise, he was upset with the referees’ actions and stressed that when players are injured they must be treated off the field of play. “It happened two or three times in five minutes,” Lorenzo said.
Asked about the replacement of James Rodríguez, he reported that the number 10 was not one hundred percent and that is why he preferred to keep it, although he assured that the footballer later asked to add minutes.
On the other hand, the coach highlighted Uruguay and its “high-class players” as well as its “powerful forwards.”
“Uruguay has high-class players who demand. Errors are not committed in an innocent way. They are forced errors,” he said.
Uruguay beat Colombia 3-2 this Friday in a match marked by an incredible finish, in which the visitor equalized the actions in the fourth minute of added time and in which the Celeste kept the three points thanks to a goal by Manuel Ugarte after one hundred minutes.
